About This Wine:
Within Niagara, the noble Riesling grape develops to its fullest potential only in specific areas. We have crafted this wine from selected vineyards throughout our region, where limestone-clay soils, elevation and moderating breezes from Lake Ontario have combined to create a medium dry Riesling with an impeccable balance of rich fruit character and mineral acidity. 
 
Origin:
45% Beamsville Bench; 23% Lincoln Lakeshore; 18% Four Mile Creek; 14% Creek Shores 
 
Soil:
Beamsville Bench - stony clay till composed primarily of limestone, mixed with sandstone and shale; Lincoln Lakeshore/Creek Shores- clay-loam till composed primarily of red shale and sandstone; Four Mile Creek - red shale with high silt and clay content

Vinification:
Cool-temperature fermentation in stainless steel over a 4 to 6 week period, using selected and indigenous yeasts; 4 months on the fine lees prior to bottling

Tasting Notes:
Aromas of ruby grapefruit, yellow plum and lime are at the fore, over top hints of pastry dough and white peach. The palate is off-dry and medium-bodied, showing supple texture and ripe nectarine fruit up front and juicy, yellow grapefruit flavours in the middle. A tangy, citrusrind feel and crisp, well-pitched acidity balances the wine’s viscosity, drawing into a dry, lingering finish of quince and lemon.
